We encourage all practitioners and scholars – engineers and architects – to submit a proposal for a contribution to the symposium. Proposals can take the form of a written paper or a video.

Contributions are selected following a two-step procedure:

1. Abstracts of proposals must be submitted here by November 30, 2020 January 15, 2021, using the template provided here. Abstracts shall comply with (at least) one of the topics of the symposium. The organizing committee and the scientific committee will operate editorial filtering to ensure fitness with the theme of the symposium. Accepted abstracts will be notified before December 31, 2020 before January 31, 2021.

2. Selected authors will be invited to submit an 8-page written paper or a 10-minute video by March 19, 2021 April 9, 2021. The template for the paper can be downloaded here; a suggested template for the video can be found here; contributions can be submitted here. Each contribution will be reviewed by 2 to 3 members of the scientific committee by May 2021. After potential revision by the authors, accepted papers and videos will be notified by June 2021. Accepted written papers will be indexed on Scopus, and authors will also be (optionally) invited to present their contribution in a 10-minute video. The scientific committee will eventually select a limited number of contributions for 10-minute presentations to be held during the symposium in September 2021, either in-person or online.
